Solving Word Problems
This year Year 1 students will be focusing on a new strategy for solving word problems in Numeracy. This strategy is referred to as the CUBES strategy. CUBES is an acronym for students to remember the process of which to identify the important information and eliminate the rest.
Word Problem Wednesday is to be completed using this strategy to enable students further practice and refinement of their problem solving skills.
