In class on this day, we talked about Australia day and why we celebrate this day. We looked at the Australian Flag, decorated our own flag and have written something about it too.

STEM Learning

STEM is a newly introduced subject to primary schools. STEM stands for Science,Technology,Engineering and Mathematics. This subject is inquiry based learning and develops students understanding of the mentioned subjects in an integrated and hands on way. STEM will now include teaching beginning coding skills in Early Childhood. In Room 9, We have introduced an early finishers activity that incorporates STEM learning. Week 4 challenge was to design and build a bridge using pop sticks and blu-tack. Students bridges were to be 3D and designed with strength in mind. Here are a few of our bridges...

Room 9 2017

Hi and welcome to Room 9 for 2017!

This year we will be having lots of fun whilst learning lots of new things.

So far this year we have revised over our previous year level concepts and participated in lots of team building exercises to make new friends.

Students are loving going to specialist subjects and being taught by different teachers! They have demonstrated much enthusiasm and a love of learning this far which is fantastic.

Thank you to all the parents who attended the parent information evening. I hope this was informative. If you still have queries, please feel free to make an appointment to meet with me. I am available most days before and after school.

We look forward to working alongside both students and their parents to make the most out of the 2017 academic school year.
